The deep south of Sicily: Baroque valleys, chocolate traditions, and a world apart.

Venture into the Val di Noto, a corner of southeastern Sicily that feels like a different country entirely. This tour takes you through two of its most remarkable towns, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites, both rebuilt in spectacular Baroque style after the earthquake of 1693.

Ragusa Ibla, the ancient lower town of Ragusa, is a labyrinth of golden limestone churches, grand palazzi, and hidden piazzas cascading down a hillside. The Duomo di San Giorgio, crowning a monumental staircase, is one of the finest Baroque churches in Sicily. The views across the valley are extraordinary, and the atmosphere here is one of quiet, timeless beauty.

Modica is built into a dramatic gorge, its buildings climbing the steep rock walls on both sides. Like Ragusa, its Baroque architecture is breathtaking, but Modica is equally famous for something unexpected: chocolate. The town's ancient chocolate-making tradition, inherited from the Aztecs via the Spanish, produces a unique grainy, intensely flavoured chocolate found nowhere else. Tasting it here, where it's made, is an experience in itself.

🚐 Private transfer included throughout the tour.
